Name Games

Allison Clare was Munchkin for most of her life; we still use that name occasionally, but there's also a lot of Allycat, plus "Sis" from Gillian (which I love).

Our youngest is almost never known as Joshua, the middle name by which we'd intended to call him.  That we don't ever use that name maybe makes it completely extraneous since his actual first name is Samuel, like his great-grandfather and father (only our substitute pediatrician, whom we see when our regular doc is out, calls him Samuel, or Sammy).  Everyone who knows him even in the slightest calls him Little Guy, even the teachers at the girls' school, and the nursery workers at church.

Gillian has been Gilly, Gilly-Bean and Little Bean.  Allison Clare occasionally calls her "Jills."  But now she has a new name, courtesy of Little Guy--he calls her "Gigi." And that may be my favorite nickname of all.
